Actress Felicia Fields, a long-time friend of the Dreamgirls star, said: "It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family. They're really trying to keep it kind of quiet. It was a nice time that we had."

Although Felicia has refused to say when the baby is due, the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper reports Jennifer has just two months left before she gives birth.When asked if Jennifer had received blue or pink gifts, Felicia told the Chicago Tribune newspaper: "They don't know the gender. More yellow."
A spokesperson for Jennifer - who was rocked by tragedy last October when her mother, brother and nephew were shot dead - has not commented on the baby reports.

The 27-year-old star - who has been seen wearing a series of loose-fitting tops - first sparked pregnancy speculation in April when she postponed concert dates with Robin Thicke, citing vocal cord strain.Her management insisted she wasn’t expecting a baby.
