The holly celebrity Janice Dickinson Slams Tyra Banks Over Paulina Porizkova Firing

Earlier this week, news broke that Tyra Banks had fired "America's Next Top Model" judge Paulina Porizkova from the judging panel on the show. Banks and a show producer have said that Porizkova was let go due to budget cuts on the show
former "Top Model" judge Janice Dickinson has a different theory. "That's how Tyra rolls," she told MTV News at the "American Idol" finale on Wednesday. "Tyra rolls like that. She likes to fire people just about when she's promising them large amounts of money, [then] they get the ax, like I did. And then she takes the money and runs."

At press time, representatives for Banks had not responded to MTV News' requests for comment.

On Monday, Banks, along with co-executive producer Ken Mok, released a statement about Porizkova's firing.

"The current state of the economy has forced shows to make major budget cuts industry wide," the statement reads. " 'America's Next Top Model' is not immune to these financially challenging times. We've had to make significant cuts in every area of the production and, unfortunately, Paulina was a casualty of these cuts.

"Tyra, who pursued Paulina to join the show as a judge multiple times, was incredibly saddened by the decision the show was forced to make. We really enjoyed working with Paulina, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors."

Porizkova did talk about getting fired during a stop on "The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson." "The reason I was told I was fired was because, it seemed, that 'America's Next Top Model' has gotten too fat and they needed to cut some fat," she said. "And the fat was me."
