'True Blood' star Anna Paquin doesn't have a problem

Anna Paquin thinks Americans have a problem - at least when it comes to nudity.

The Canadian-born, New Zealand raised actress tells Nylon Magazine, "I was not brought up in the United States [so] I don't have the [attitude] that you can have graphic violence but - God forbid - you see someone's nipples."

Paquin shows just those body parts, and more, in her role on HBO's "True Blood," series. But she's hardly ashamed.

"I don't think a naked body is particularly shocking or interesting," says the 27 year old.

To make things even easier for her, Paquin shares her nude scenes with actor Stephen Moyer, to whom she became engaged earlier this month.

"You're not having to sort of get over the ‘wow, I'm naked with someone that I don't even know the middle name of!' commented Paquin to AOL Television.

Paquin also finds it odd how people treat her since she became a blonde for her new role, as opposed to her previous brunette guise.

"People are incredibly literal in how they view you," she says. "You have dark hair and pale skin? You must be brooding. The second you dye your hair blonde and get a spray tan, people treat you as if you're a bit stupider and happier. Suddenly....you're hot and sexy."
